New beginnings.

I have started and stopped blogging so many times in the last few years, it doesn’t surprise me that I find myself starting again.

I have started Spiritual Direction again, and I think it is going well. I won’t blog about specific things my SD advises but I may talk about some of the things going on in my head. Mainly because I know no one really reads this thing.

I have been doing a lot of work on myself lately, mostly because I have grown up a lot in the last few years and it is time to consciously work on healing from past issues/junk.

Holy Moly….

It has been a while since I blogged in any way shape or form. Since my last post I have begun training Titan the service pup, I have changed jobs, and it seems like the sky is falling or, at least may be eminent in falling in the US as well as the Catholic Church.

In the coming days, I am going to be starting to blog a little more. I am finding I have a lot going on in my head and I need to get it out some way.

Employment…

For all of our marriage my husband has been the primary earner, unfortunately he has had a spate of unemployment and I am the sole earner at the moment. We are barley scraping by in most areas and behind in others. I hate the feeling of uncertainty in the future especially financially. We were just recovering from the last bout of unemployment and we are now in this one for over a year. We financially can’t make it on what I make, so we need my husband to be employed.

Being unemployed, especially long term, takes a toll on your psyche. One heck of a toll. The feelings of worthlessness, the depression, the hopelessness, the fear and the isolation. I remember those feelings well.

I do hope he finds something soon.

Welcome to my little corner of the web. Here you will find free form thoughts, things I am working through, rants, book reviews, cooking and all the random crap that enters and exits my brain.

This blog is a personal exercise in not driving myself insane with all the absolute garbage going on in the world. I am a firm believer that we can disagree on items of politics, favorite colors, the benefits of summer heat and a thousand other things. I do not believe that we can disagree on things like discrimination, racism, and treating other human beings like garbage. So if you don’t agree that racism and treating people like less then human beings deserving basic compassion and dignity is basic human decency then I really am not sure we can get along, be civil or otherwise engage in conversation.

This blog is 100% my responsibility and does not reflect the opinions of any religious leaders, employers, friends or relations. Heck I will probably disagree with them too on something.
